4Escape UG (limited liability) is a provider of so-called live escape games. This is a form of interactive theatre game as a leisure activity. Participants are locked in a room for 60 minutes and solve puzzles there. The rooms are decorated according to different themes and equipped with corresponding puzzles.
During the game, participants in the puzzle room will be assisted by a member of staff 4Escape UG (limited liability) observed by means of a camera. This is solely for the purpose of guiding participants (see Section 14 – Data Protection).
The theme rooms can be exited at any time via an emergency exit.
Live escape games are team games. Participants play in groups of 2-6 people. Participants register as a team.
Participants must be of legal age. Participation by minors is only permitted if accompanied by an adult – however, this must be agreed in advance of the event. 4Escape UG (limited liability) to be clarified.
The events are unsuitable for individuals with serious medical conditions such as epilepsy, panic attacks, asthma, heart conditions, mental health issues, or claustrophobia. Pregnant women may participate at their own risk. Animals are not permitted at the events.
A booking must always be made through the booking system on the website. After a successful booking, the customer will receive a confirmation email. Only upon receipt of this confirmation email is the booking considered binding and a contract is formed between 4Escape UG (limited liability) and the booking person.
Cancellation of a booking made with a fixed tariff is generally not possible. The full booking price is due, regardless of the payment method chosen.
Bookings made with the Flex fare can be cancelled or rebooked free of charge up to 48 hours before the event start time. For short-notice cancellations within 48 hours, a voucher for a later date can be issued or a rebooking can be made.
4Escape UG (limited liability) offers live events, where the rooms are specially prepared and blocked for each booking, therefore, according to §312g (2) number 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no further right of withdrawal.
Occasionally, we may need to make changes, correct errors, or amend other details before or after confirming bookings. We may also need to cancel confirmed bookings. We reserve the right to do so in all such cases.
If we have to make a significant change to your booking or even cancel it, we will inform you as soon as possible.
If there is still sufficient time before the start of your booked game, we offer you the opportunity to take advantage of one of the following options:

In all cases, our liability for significant changes and cancellations is limited to the options offered above. We regret that we cannot cover any expenses, costs, or losses incurred by you as a result of a change or cancellation.
The conditions for voucher redemption are stated on the vouchers themselves. If nothing else is specified there, they are value vouchers that will be deducted from the total price upon payment. Each voucher is only redeemable once.
It is your responsibility to arrive at the booked time.
At 4Escape UG (limited liability) This is a live event. The rooms are specially prepared for each booking and blocked off for the booked period. Therefore, please ensure that all participants in your group by the latest 10 minutes before the event starts at our premises at Wartburgstraße 50-52 (behind MietCenter Rauxel, entrance on Dornbachstraße) in 44579 Castrop-Rauxel.
In case of delays, we reserve the right 4Escape UG (limited liability) have the right to shorten the event time accordingly. Alternatively, the event may be cancelled at short notice (see 02 - Cancellation).
4Escape UG (limited liability) reserves the right to cancel an event due to force majeure.
The event duration is 60 minutes. 4Escape UG (limited liability) reserves the right to remove participants after the premises' opening hours have expired.
Should the event be brought forward 4Escape UG (limited liability) (e.g. due to the misconduct of individual participants in the gaming group) or terminated by the participants, there is no entitlement to any form of refund.
4Escape UG (limited liability) reserves the right to remove individuals from the premises should they wilfully damage the establishment. Attendees of the event shall be held liable for any form of destruction.
4Escape UG (limited liability) Reserves the right to remove persons from the premises should they be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
No food or drink, other than water, may be consumed in the play areas.
There is a total smoking ban in all areas of 4Escape UG (limited liability).
4Escape UG (limited liability) No refunds will be issued following an event if participants are dissatisfied with the „Live Escape Room“ offered or if there are unforeseen component failures during the event. The same applies in the event of an unforeseen disruption to the event.
Each participant will receive instructions on the rules of conduct in the premises before the event. Each participant undertakes to comply with these rules of conduct to the best of their knowledge and belief. 4Escape UG (limited liability) undertakes to carry out every event to the best of its ability in order to offer each participant a maximally exciting experience.
4Escape UG (limited liability) and shall not be liable for any injury of any kind, death, illness, deterioration of health, loss, damage of any kind, or loss of enjoyment, arising from one or more of the following:
4Escape UG (limited liability) is not liable for production defects, usage restrictions, loss of enjoyment, and unforeseeable damages.

4Escape UG (limited liability) undertakes to treat all participant data with the strictest confidentiality. Confidential data will only be passed on to third parties with the participant's consent.
During the game, participants in the puzzle room will be assisted by a member of staff 4Escape UG (limited liability) observed. To this end, we use cameras and microphones installed in the play areas. No recording takes place. The observation serves solely to guide participants during the game and provide assistance if necessary.
