Escape Room in North Rhine-Westphalia

Frequently asked questions about escape rooms

Will we really be locked up?

No, in our experience, you're only locked in during the game. However, you can always open the exit door yourself at any time if you need to go to the toilet or if there's a real emergency.

Yes, you will always find our vouchers at the bottom of the booking pages, for example here. Our vouchers can be redeemed at all our locations. Our vouchers are valid for three years from the date of issue. Should the booking amount exceed the voucher value, you can pay the remaining balance in advance when booking or on-site.

You can find our price list at this page.

Naturally. Should you be more than you originally booked and possibly already paid for, you can simply pay the difference in cash on-site.

The age recommendations vary slightly from room to room. Generally, it's not a problem in most rooms if one or two children are present with their families. If minors wish to play alone, they should be at least 14 years old. In family contexts, it's also possible from 8 years old. If the focus of the game is to be on the children, then they should generally be at least 10 years old and accompanied by an adult.

Of course, we'd be happy to join in. Let us know in good time beforehand, so we can perhaps add a surprise or two to the room.

A Game Master listens and watches what you do in the room using microphones and cameras. This is not recorded and only serves to assist you on your adventure.

A game master will support you and readily give you tips and advice.

Not every group manages to complete an Escape Room in 60 minutes. That's not a problem. We'll try to support you in good time beforehand. If you still can't find the solution, we'll explain and show you afterwards what you might have missed.

Usually, two days' notice is sufficient, provided there's still an appointment available. It's better if you plan a few days or weeks in advance so that your preferred appointment is still available. However, if something is still free, you're welcome to call and come in on the same day.

Our rooms are designed to be played well with five or six people. If you have more people, we recommend booking two rooms in parallel (it's best to send us an email for this). However, we won't say no if you want to fit seven people in one room. Simply book for six people and bring the seventh person with you. They will then pay an additional 30 Euros on-site (for the 60-minute rooms) or 40 Euros (for the 90-minute rooms).

You can pay directly with PayPal or credit card when booking. We also accept cash payments on site. Unfortunately, we do not accept card payments on site. Please remember to bring enough cash.

We are always developing new rooms and will announce them as soon as possible.

Bookings made at the fixed rate cannot be cancelled. The full booking price is also due if you do not show up. This applies regardless of the payment method chosen.

A booking under the Flex rate can be cancelled or rebooked free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the match. Within 48 hours, it can only be rebooked or cancelled in exchange for a voucher. This also applies regardless of the selected payment method.

It is possible to place a birthday present, for example, that you have previously given us, in all of our rooms. Simply speak to our local game masters for this, or send an email in advance (info@verschlusssache-escape.dean uns.
